The 3-way loudspeaker system is a departure from a single-source mid/high in order to heighten mid-range fluidity. Here it is: the classic bass driver with sophisticated aspiration, reflex port and wave guide; plus the compression driver with horn to widen dispersion of high frequencies. Additionally, in the 3.18 (18-inch horn, woofer) a third unit, mid-range is placed high. Why? Please ask or better, listen!
